postheadericon 133 motorcycle racers compete in motocross tilt in Lanao Norte

Top national and local riders reeved up their racing motorcycles as Race Boss (Bobby Orbe) prepare to wave the green flag in the on-going 2nd Leg of Enersel Motocross Championships held at MCC race track, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Tubod, Lanao del Norte - One hundred thirty-three motorcycle racers from all over the country participated in the motocross competition which started last Saturday (June 26) held at the Mindanao Civic Center racetrack in Tubod, this province.

The competition is the kickoff of the 51anniversary of “Araw ng Lanao del Norte” which is celebrated every year by Lanao del Norte provincial government that starts on June 26 and ends on July 4.
 
This is the second motocross competition held in Tubod by the SEL-J Sports Philippine Motocross Championship under the aegis of the Enersel Motocross Championship.

“We are again seeing a good-size crowd of the national and local riders participating in the latest motocross challenge here in Lanao del Norte. This further strengthens our claim on the title as the motocross capital of the Philippines”, remarked Information Officer Lyndon Calica.

Among the teams set to see action are Quick Flight, Team Pacquiao, KTM Access Plus. FastLane, Therasil SEL-J, and several others in Mindanao led by Team Sultan Naga Dimaporo (SND).

Riders participating in the 2-day competition came from the National Capital Region, Ilo-Ilo, Dumaguete, Cebu, Puerto Prinsesa, Tuguegarao, Davao, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Ozamiz and Sultan Naga Dimaporo.

“As we build on our experience in handling national motocross competitions, we now set our eyes in hosting an international motocross event by next year”, declared Gov. Khalid Dimaporo.
