Gov. Khalid Dimaporo and Rep. Fatima Aliah Dimaporo lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the ALLEAP Kapatagan training site while Mayor Benjie Baguio looks on.Tubod, Lanao del Norte – Kapatagan, Lala and Salvador are the first towns in this fast-rising province set to benefit from the Alternative Learning, Livelihood and Employment Assistance Program (ALLEAP) of Job1 Global, Inc., the 2nd congressional district of Lanao del Norte and the provincial government of Lanao del Norte.

Expected enrollees in this innovative learning system are out-of-school youth (OSY), high school and college dropouts, those living in highly inaccessible areas, persons with disability, jobless adults, senior citizens, and others not served by formal education.
“I want the people of Lanao del Norte to keep moving forward and continuously improve themselves. We can only do this through education”, stressed 2nd District Representative Fatima Aliah Dimaporo.

During the official launching of the program on October 28, 2011 at the Macapagal Training Center, in the capital town of Tubod, more than 30 learners from the three ALLEAP sites expressed their gratitude to Governor Dimaporo and Congresswoman Dimaporo for bringing the new learning system to the province.

Under the program, learners will undergo an intensive 10-month computer-based training to enable them to gain the basic knowledge normally provided by a 6-year elementary or 4-year secondary education.

Upon completion, learners will then be eligible to take the ALS Accreditation and Equivalency Test of the Department of Education (DepEd).
A test passer of either the Elementary or Secondary Level gets a certificate which bears the signature of the Secretary of the Department of Education. This gives a passer entry to the mainstream of Philippine education. It offers the passer the following opportunities -  enroll in post secondary courses (technical/vocational, two, four or five-year course) of the CHED (for private colleges and universities) and PASUC (for government owned/ controlled) member institutions; access to MFI and TESDA skills training programs; and  acquire eligibility for government employment positions.

“This is a good opportunity especially for our out-of-school youth to continue their education. To all those involved in the ALLEAP project, we are very grateful”, expressed Governor Dimaporo.

Also on hand to witness the formal program launching are Lala mayor Allan Lim, Salvador mayor Hassanor Tawantawan, Kapatagan administrator Jing Oporto and Provincial Boardmember Tominaman Sumalipao, Learn1Network Global President Candy Mauricio and Job1Global President Manuel Enrico Federico Santos.
