Tubod, Lanao del Norte – In the most anticipated concert of the year, Apo Hiking Society the Philippines most famous trio of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) finally rendered their Paalam nApo concert held at the world-class Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) gym with over 2,000 afionados came to witness the night filled with original songs written and arranged by Apo themselves.

The trios entertained the thousands of spectators as the trios show-off their comedic skills and one can’t helped but hummed with the all time favorite music of the Apo like Blue Jeans, Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Mo, Lumang Tugtugin, and many others.

The musical event signaled the official retirement of Apo in their four (4) decades of bringing music and entertainment to the Filipinos. The trios career highlighted by twenty (22) full-length award-winning studio albums, two (2) successful tribute albums, a catalogue of over forty (40) original hits, and two (2) pioneering variety shows.

“This is the last provincial show and this is very sentimental to us especially that we are welcomed here with a warm reception and the place is a very good place to have”, Jim Paredes expressed his farewell statement in an interview after the concert.

When the trios were asked about what advice they can give to all the music aspirants in Lanao del Norte, Boboy Garovillo simply answered, “Be original, go for change, master your craft, practice, practice and more practice”.

The Paalam nApo concert showcased the friendship that Jim Paredes, Boboy Garovillo and Danny Javier built through the spirit of brotherhood and the love of music.

This effort of the provincial government of Lanao del Norte is another proof that the Land of Beauty and Bounty is celebrating the peace and order that the province is having. ARMS/PIO-LDN
