The approved design of the 100-bed capacity Kapatagan Provincial Hospital which will soon rise to deliver quality health care services to the people of Kapatagan, Lala, Sapad, Salvador, SND and other nearby municipalities.Tubod, Lanao del Norte – The highly anticipated state-of-the-art provincial hospital soon to rise in the town of Kapatagan is now nearing its construction phase after representatives from the Provincial Engineer’s Office and the Provincial Architect’s Office reconvened last February 18, 2011 for the finalization and completion of the Architectural and Engineering Design/Bidding documents.


The new 100-bed capacity Kapatagan Provincial Hospital is part of the continuing drive of the provincial LGU to improve the healthcare services of its hospitals.


“This is one of Governor Dimaporo’s major projects to further enhance the health sector and give the public especially our indigent families better access to quality healthcare services”, Design Team Leader Engr. Dennis Aguipo said.


The provincial government has successfully secured a loan from the German Financial Cooperation with the Philippines Kreditanstalt fur Weideraufbau (KFW) to help attain the country’s  Millennium Development Goal’s (MDG’s).


The loan availment is part of the Health Sector Reform Agenda (HSRA) support program under the Municipal Development Fund Office (MDFO) of the Department of finance (DOF).


The total project cost is estimated at more than 99 million with 32 million of the entire amount given as project grant.


The construction of the 100-bed capacity hospital is envisioned to make significant improvement in the health status of the poor and vulnerable groups of the population by expanding the coverage of the public health programs, increased accessibility of hospital services, and reduction of hospital fees under the Provincial Health Indigency Program (PHIP).
