International riders to see action in Lanao del Norte motocross
Tubod, Lanao del Norte – Six international riders from the US, New Zealand, India and Sri Lanka have already confirmed their participation in the biggest motocross event the country has ever seen.
Among the motocross superstars set to see action in Lanao del Norte are Daniel Blair, Tiger Lacey, Ron De Jesus, James Robinson, Santosh C.S., and Gayan Sandaruwan.
The province of Lanao del Norte has been acclaimed by professional and amateur racers as the motocross capital of the Philippines.
Riders admire the international standard race course as being “very technical yet very safe”.
“We are taking motocross to the next level. It’s time for our local and national riders to pit their skills against these international riders and see how much we need to improve in this sport”, Gov. Khalid Dimaporo said.
The provincial government is stepping up its promotional development with the vision of transforming Lanao del Norte into the sports Mecca of the country.
“We welcome all sports that need help. They have a home here in Lanao del Norte and that is the Mindanao Civic Center”, Dimaporo added.
The December motocross event is the result of the continued partnership between the provincial LGU and SEL-J Sports. VNL/PIO-LDN
