Tubod, Lanao del Norte – The Lanao del Norte LGU again exceeded its local revenue collection targets for calendar year 2009.


This was learned during the 4th Quarter Regional Conference and Workshop of Treasurers and Assessors of Region 10 held last December 13-15, 2010 at De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.


The provincial government overshot its collection in the Business and Other Taxes category by 134%, collected 744% of its targeted Fees and Charges, and exceeded its Economic Enterprise quota by 107%.


“We attribute this achievement to the strong political will of Gov. Khalid Dimaporo”, Provincial Treasurer Mildred Hingco said.


Another top performing LGU in the province with outstanding revenue collection is the interior town of Nunungan who also got 138% collection in the real property tax category.


This is the third year in a row that Lanao del Norte was awarded as one of the top achievers in tax collection by the Department of Finance Region 10.
