Khalid Dimaporo under the Kabarangayan Sigurado program.Tubod, Lanao del Norte – 97 barangays here in the province were the latest recipients of multi-purpose tents and hand water pumps under the Kabarangayan Sigurado program of Gov. Khalid Dimaporo.

To date more than 300 of the 462 barangays of Lanao del Norte have already received the multi-purpose tents being distributed by the Provincial Community Affairs Office (PCAO).

“We hope that many will benefit from these tents and jetmatic pumps. Gov. Dimaporo is determined to elevate the conditions in the barangays and this is only one of the projects that were implementing to achieve this goal”, explained PCAO Head Lyndon Calica.

Together with the tents, each of the barangay also received 20 monobloc chairs for use by residents and barangay officials.

The chairman of each of the recipient barangays is the designated custodian of the tent and chairs. Residents who wish to use the tent will have to secure an approval from the barangay captain and shall follow the first come-first serve rule.

Also distributed were hand water pumps to aid the barangays in increasing its water supply particularly with the El Niño weather system being experienced in the country.

Each of the barangay present received 3 to 5 hand water pumps depending on the number of its residents.

Present also during the distribution activity were Gov. Khalid Dimaporo, Former Governor Imelda Quibranza Dimaporo, and Ms. Aliah Quibranza Dimaporo. VNL/PIO-LDN
