Tubod, Lanao del Norte – More than 200 newly-elected municipal and provincial officials simultaneously took their oath of office last June 28, at the Mindanao Civic Center gymnasium, Tubod, this province.

Provincial officials led by Gov. Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo, Vice-Governor Irma Umpa-Ali, 1st District Representative Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo, 2nd District Representative Fatima Aliah Dimaporo and Board Members from both districts of Lanao del Norte took their oath in front of Judge Oscar Badelles of Regional Trial Court Branch 05.

20 mayors and vice-mayors from different towns of the province also came with their respective councilors and swore before Gov. Khalid Dimaporo for their oath of office.

During the ceremony, DILG representative Mary Jane Yap-Quibranza officially presented the newly-elected candidates to their administering officials.

“This is the first that we have this mass oath-taking ceremony for all elected officials in the province. We are truly happy to be part of this historic ceremony”, Kapatagan Mayor Benjie Baguio said.

In his speech, Gov. Dimaporo urged all LGU officials to unite and work together towards the attainment of Vision 2020.

“We believe in the leadership of Team Dimaporo and we will continue to work in partnership with them for continued peace and development of Lanao del Norte”, assured Bacolod Mayor Joselito Miquibas.

Present also during the activity were provincial and municipal employees, supporters, friends and family members of the officials. VNL/PIO-LDN
