Cagayan de Oro City – Showcasing the best products from the One Town, One Product (OTOP) program of DTI, the provincial government of Lanao del Norte joined the more than 30 small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) of northern Mindanao for the Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair 2011 or Kahimunan RTF on August 22 to 28, at the Limketkai Rotunda in Cagayan de Oro City.

Exhibitors from Lanao del Norte are members of the Lanao del Norte Producers Association (LANORPA).

“This is good opportunity for us to introduce and market our products to the regional market. We are thankful to Governor Khalid Dimaporo for his solid support to our association”, LANORPA President Violeta Gingco expressed.

Assisting the Lanao Norte exhibitors are personnel from the Provincial Cooperative Office (PCO) and the Provincial Resources Management Office (PRMC).

Participating also in the week-long trade fair are the other provinces of region 10 – Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, and Camiguin.  

The exhibitors showcased their food and non-food products like fashion accessories, gifts and houseware, organic and natural products and furniture.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry – Region 10, the Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair is a core event of the Kagay-an Festival of Cagayan de Oro and is one of the highlights in the annual celebration of the city fiesta. VNL/PIO-LDN
