Tubod, Lanao del Norte  - 32 selected employees from the provincial government successfully passed the 3-day trainers’ training held at the Macapagal Training Center, Tubod, this province.


The participants came from different departments of the Lanao del Norte LGU and were hand-picked to undergo the extensive seminar supported by the Population Commission Region 10.


“These employees are now adept and well-equipped to handle the training of our PVHWs on the subject of responsible parenting and family planning”, Provincial Population Office Head Ananette Daniel said.


More than 2,000 Provincial Volunteer Health Workers (PVHWs) are scheduled to undergo the same workshop this coming April and May, 2011.


The recent graduates will be grouped into three to six teams to handle the 41 batches of trainings set to be held in the ten coastal towns of Lanao del Norte.


“This is proof of our strong support to the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals of our country under the leadership of President Aquino”, Governor Khalid Dimaporo declared. VNL/PIO-LDN
