Tubod, Lanao del Norte – 50 PNP personnel  from Maguindanao and 90 PNP recruits were accepted by the PNP provincial leadership and the Local Government Unit of Lanao del Norte in a turn-over and acceptance ceremony held at Camp Gallego, Pigcarangan, Tubod, this province.

Former-Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo, guest speaker of the ceremony, challenged the present PNP officials to address the persistent crimes in the province like illegal gambling and drug-abuse.

Former-Governor Dimaporo also encouraged the local police force to become role model police officers to further improve the public image of the PNP.

“Let our police officers act in such a way that people will come to admire and respect the people in uniform”, stressed Dimaporo.

PSSupt Orlando Aporado Benas, Acting PNP Provincial Director, assured the local residents of the province that the personnel augmentation will greatly increase police visibility in crime-prone areas and town centers.

Female policers from Maguindanao will however, return to their original station in the following days for humanitarian reasons in consideration of the small children they left behind after their re-assignment.

Recently, Camp Gallego was adjudged as the most-improved PNP Provincial Headquarters for its infrastructure programs.
