Lanao Norte ready for biggest bodybuilding contest
Makati, Manila – It’s all systems go as Lanao del Norte gets set for the biggest bodybuilding competition this province has ever seen.
In the official presentation of participants held at Gold’s Gym-Makati on October 19 hosted by Sports celebrity Bill Velasco of Hardball. More than 20 professional and amateur body builders pledged to join the contest slated on November 20, 2010 at the Mindanao Civic Center gymnasium, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
“National competition like this featuring renowned athletes only proves that Lanao del Norte is truly a peaceful place”, said Gov. Khalid Dimaporo.
Dubbed as Maskulino Pilipino 2010 – Bodybuilding and Figure Championship, this will be the first-ever bodybuilding competition to be held in this fast-rising province.
Already acclaimed as the Motocross capital of the Philippines by top riders in the country, Lanao del Norte is fast-becoming the preferred sporting destination in southern Philippines.
“We want to share with the rest of the country our world-class sports complex”, Dimaporo added.
