Tubod, Lanao del Norte – Members of the Kolambugan Motorcycle Drivers Association (KOMODA) through their president Ricardo Talaba received the Fifty Thousand (P50,000) pesos as financial assistance from 1st District Rep. Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo.


A simple ceremony was held for the check turn-over on April 13, 2011 at Mukas barangay hall and witnessed by Kolambugan Mayor Bertrand Lumaque, Mukas barangay chairman Ernesto Lapinig and provincial cooperative officer Rod Gamit.


“We are very much thankful to Congresswoman Angging Quibranza-Dimaporo for this assistance to our organization.  This is help us realize our various livelihood projects for our members”, Talaba expressed.


The officers of KOMODA plan to put up a motorcycle shop in their coastal town that will sell spare parts to its members and local residents at lower prices.


“I hope that you will be able to make this seed money grow for your association to help more of your driver-members”, Dimaporo urged.


The lady solon is also looking into the possibility of creating a loan program that will enable drivers to purchase newer motorcycle models that is more fuel efficient and produce lesser smoke.


After the turn-over rites, Dimaporo inspected the construction site for the proposed motocycle shop located at Brgy. Mukas, this province.


Following the site inspection, Rep. Dimaporo also led the blessing and inauguration ceremony of a pedestrian walkway in Brgy. Simbuco, Kolambugan.
