Model families for Lanao del Norte awarded
Tubod, Lanao del Norte – The Pramio family of Baroy is your typical underprivileged Filipino family but what sets them apart from the rest is their extraordinary devotion to their faith and active involvement in public service and social activities that promote humanitarian service.
In a simple but meaningful awarding ceremony, the finalists of the Search for Model Filipino Family (provincial-level) were recognized and awarded by the Provincial Government on October 12 at the Macapagal Training Center, Tubod, this province.
The selection process is based on the families’ ability to demonstrate Filipino values in their daily lives and show their love of country through community participation.
The winners of this search are Mr. and Mrs. Vicente Pramio of Baroy, Lanao del Norte (1st Place); Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Undag from the town of Maigo (2nd Place); and Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Nacional of Kolambugan (3rd Place).
In his speech, Gov. Khalid Dimaporo told the winners, “Your stories are an inspiration to us all. Your success is proof that with hard work, dedication and faith in God we can do anything”.
As the top winners in the provincial-level, the Pramio family received P15,000; the Undag family received P10,000; while the Nacional family got P5,000.
Also receiving P2,000 as consolation prizes are: Mr. and Mrs. Edgardo Gedocruz from Bacolod; and Mr. and Mrs. Neilson Lontayao of Tubod.
Present during the awarding ceremony were Board member Grecille Matalines, Provincial Social Welfare Officer Annabelle Mendez, and POPCom Head Ananette Daniel. VNL/PIO-LDN
