Children from Brgy. Panadtaran in the town of Lala show off the gifts they received from the Lanao del Norte Prov’l. Govt. Biker’s Association during its outreach program held last December 20.While most biker associations aim only to travel the paved roads of the countryside and city streets, the Lanao del Norte Provincial Government Biker’s Association ventured into the rough and dusty roads in the town of Lala last December 20 to reach the interior barangay of Panadtaran and deliver their precious gifts to the more than 500 indigent children residing at the place.

The outreach program of the group is in partnership with the provincial government of Lanao del Norte headed by Governor Khalid Dimaporo who is also a staunch supporter of motorsports with the regular hosting of motocross events in the world-class MCC sports complex.

“The aim of the activity is to strengthen the ties between the association and the community where we belong”, Bikers’ Association President Lyndon Calica said.

This event is in lined with Gov. Mohammad Khalid Dimaporo’s vision of uniting the community through sports and making the province a top destination for sports enthusiasts.

“Sharing and giving is the spirit of Christmas and we share this spirit to our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate”, Calica added.

The people of Barangay Panadtaran expressed their deep gratitude and joy to the bikers as well as to Gov. Dimaporo for the gifts they received this Christmas, a sign of hope for the residents and a sign of inspiration to the bikers. MAC/PIO-LDN
