Motorcab group receives financial aid from Rep. Imelda Dimaporo
Tubod, Lanao del Norte – On January 6, 2012, more than 200 motorcab drivers belonging to the Tubod United Motorcab Operators & Drivers Association (TUMODA) lauded the financial assistance given by 1st District Representative Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo to their association.
“This amount will be enough to jumpstart the association’s motorcycle shop project. With the help of all its members, I believe that TUMODA can make this project successful. I am very thankful to Hon. Imelda Dimaporo for her kind help”, Tubod mayor Nelieta Noval expressed.
The amount is half of the financial aid allotted by Congresswoman Dimaporo for the driver’s group as part of her livelihood assistance program in her district.
The monetary aid will be used to purchase motorcycle parts and accessories for the motorcycle shop project which will supply the TUMODA members and the riding public with affordable motorcycle parts.
Part of the financial assistance is also earmarked for repair of the store of TUMODA’s vice chairman, Charles Andot.
TUMODA was organized on September 7, 2011 and its list of registered members has now ballooned to more than 200 as of December 2011.
The simple turn-over ceremony was also witnessed by Tubod Administrator Carmelito Maglipac, Jr., PCAO Coordinator Raysen Limosnero, and Tubod Cooperative Head Deborah Baliton. VNL & LAR/PIO-LDN
