Tubod, Lanao del Norte  – 166 councilors from 22 municipalities of the province attended the Philippine Councilor’s League (PCL) - Lanao del Norte Chapter meeting held last August 11 at the Macapagal Training Center, Tubod, this province.

The meeting was called for the election of the new batch of PCL provincial officials who will serve until 2013.

“The PCL is now composed of more than 16 thousand councilors nationwide. We are working very hard on the implementation of our programs that will benefit all PCL members. These includes medical assistance, burial assistance, the PCL Condotel with free use of our service van, and PCL Academy”, PCL National Treasurer Ricardo Jordan said.

The meeting was facilitated by DILG-Lanao del Norte headed by Acting-Provincial Director Mary Jean Quibranza who also served as the chairperson for the poll activity.      

The following are the newly elected PCL-Lanao del Norte officials: Ronda Maruhom (President), Cesar Yap, Jr. (Vice-President), Rima Ladlad (Secretary General), Ben Bryan Bontilao (Treasurer), Romulo Santos (Auditor), Elias Ali (Public Relations Officer), and Ramon Rebojo (Business Manager).

Also elected as Federation Directors are: Edwin Ong, Rudy Rick Patalinghug, Edward Pido, Marie Joy Mendez, Porferio Daraman, Romelie Jose Roullo, Acmad Taha, and Necitas Balanay.

PCL National Treasurer Jordan was pleased that the election went very smoothly and orderly. “Ang bait ng mga tao dito, nag-usap usap lang sila kung sinong iboboto”, Jordan observed. VNL/PIO-LDN
