postheadericon Provincial employees of Lanao del Norte receive standard first aid training course

Participants and participating agencies candidly pose during the closing program of the Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support training course in Macapagal Training Center, Tubod Lanao del Norte.TUBOD, Lanao de Norte – To provide proper knowledge and skills on how to properly manage and give response  to catastrophe, thirty (30) chosen provincial employees from the various offices of the provincial government were given a 5-day comprehensive training course on standard first aid training and basic life support which was conducted last August 23-27.

The Standard First Aid Course and Basic Life Support comprise of an in-depth approach to answer on critical emergency interventions while equipping participants with the practical and theoretical skills to perform effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on victims. Throughout the training, participants were able to able to learn about patient/casualty handling, common emergencies and how to execute CPR.
“The better that we are prepare, the more lives we can save,” said Annabelle Mendez, in her message during the closing program as one of the organizers of said training.

The 30 participants were trained to react accordingly in various emergency situations, while maintaining self-confidence, composure and assurance to others.
In his impression, Mr. Genaro Salvanera expressed that he was lucky enough to be a part of the training and learned the basic of lifesaving and indeed the trainers are very competent and knowledgeable.

Participants were trained by highly acclaimed lifesavers, the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) team, Region X. And certificates of completion duly accredited by the PNRC were distributed during the closing program.
“We appreciate the efforts of the provincial government of Lanao del Norte for the initiative to come up with this disaster preparedness program and we are also hoping that the provincial government can be able to sustain this,” said Ana Cañeda, Office of Civil Defense, Region X.

The provincial government of Lanao del Norte is committed in creating certified first responders who have completed a course and received certification in providing pre-hospital care for medical emergencies and skillfully trained in responding to crisis. ARMS/PIO-LDN
