Tubod, Lanao del Norte -  10 movie and TV celebrities from our local showbiz industry recently visited this province on December 10, 2011 for an exhibition game of basketball against the Kapatagan Executives. The Celebrity Group prevailed over the local team with the final score of 88-85.

Aside from showcasing their superb basketball skills, the actors also entertained the crowd with their comedic antics and hilarious skits led by comedian Gene Padilla.

Other celebrities who visited Lanao del Norte were Marco Alcaraz, Andrew Wolfe, Archie Alemania, John Hall, Joross Gamboa, Joseph Bitangcol, Paolo Paraiso, Jordan Herrera, Paul Alvarez, and Buboy Fernandez.

The basketball match is one of the highlights of the highly successful Motocross Weekend which features the anticipated Lanao del Norte International Motocross Invitationals.

In the previous night, sexy girl group Kitty Girls also provided the entertainment for the thousands of spectators at the Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) gym, Brgy. Sagadan, in the capital town of Tubod.

Jordan Herrera and Buboy Fernandez came earlier than the rest of their teammates to join in the celebrity race of the Lanao del Norte International Motocross.

Buboy Fernandez is not only the trainer of pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao, he is also the team manager of Team Pacquiao. A motocross racing team joining SEL-J Sports’ Enersel Forte World Motocross Challenge.

A surprise member of the celebrity group was Gov. Khalid Dimaporo’s younger sister, Sittie Aminah Dimaporo. Aminah was once the point guard and power forward of the DLSU Lady Archers.

With only seconds remaining in the game, Aminah was able to sink the final shot which gave the Celebrity Team the win in their latest out-of-town game. VNL/PIO-LDN
