Tubod, Lanao del Norte – Winning candidates in the recent barangay elections took their oath of office before Governor Khalid Dimaporo in a simple ceremony held on November 3, 2010 at the Provincial Capitol Building, Tubod, this province.


Candidates from the coastal towns of Kolambugan and Maigo are among the first batch of in-coming barangay officials sworn in by Governor Dimaporo during the oath-taking rites organized by the Provincial Information Office and Provincial Community Affairs Office.


“I appeal to all the candidates to start now the healing process and reconcile with their political rivals for the good of the barangay”, Dimaporo urged the candidates.


Present during the ceremony are the winning candidates from the 26 barangays of Kolambugan and 7 barangays from Maigo.


ABC presidents from the 2 towns also pledged their continued support to the leadership of Governor Dimaporo and the developmental programs under Vision 2020.


Candidates from other municipalities of the province are also set to take their oath of office before Governor Dimaporo within the coming weeks. VNL/PIO-LDN
