Miss Lanao del Norte 2009, Lota Correos placed 3^rd runner up in the most anticipated Sinulog Festival Queen 2010 in Cebu City.

Ms. Correos impressed the judges with her graceful dance moves and grace under pressure despite being a first-timer in the festival.

The Lanao del Norte candidate performed flawlessly with selected dancers from the Land of Beauty and Bounty contingent in a three-minute Sinulog dance choreography.  The Festival Queen candidates were also required to perform a one-minute solo dance routine during the competition donning on her festival costume.

The search of Festival Queen 2010 is one of the highlights of the Pearl Anniversary celebration of Cebu’s Sinulog Festival.

Prior to the coronation night a pre-pageant activity was held in SM City - Cebu which included a fashion show and pictorial of the candidates.

During pageant night, the 20 year-old nursing student from Siliman University representing Lanao del Norte was able to drew loud cheers and admiration from the crowd with her confidence and perfect execution of the sinulog dance.

Both local and foreign tourists and photographers were on hand to witness the parade of beauties in the biggest Sinulog celebration ever.

Other winners in the Festival were Kim Villacampa Pintaflores  this year’s Festival Queen, Rata May Joy Verano of Abellana National High School- 1^st runner up, Sheila Paulino of Placer Masbate-2^nd runner up and Lourdes Mae Santillana of Tribu Banilad – 4^th runner up.    ARMS-PIO/LDN
